E’ possibile prevedere l’infarto?

Secondo alcuni studiosi americani la possibilità di prevedere l’infarto esiste e se la scoperta fosse confermata questo potrebbe essere un traguardo molto importante per la cardiologia. Secondo i ricercatori, che hanno analizzato il sangue di persone vittime di infarto, le cellule che si trovano sulle pareti del cuore e dei suoi grandi vasi sono più grandi rispetto alla norma e presentano delle malformazioni. A questo proposito sono già partiti degli studi per elaborare un test del sangue che individui i soggetti a rischio e quelli in cui le cellule sono già modificate.Si tratta di una possibilità molto importante. Prevenire l’infarto in anticipo potrebbe diminuire di molto la percentuale di popolazione colpita e aprire una nuova frontiera nell’ambito degli studi cardiologici.
