Aigo: prima donna al vertice della gastroenterologia italiana

E’ Elisabetta Buscarini il nuovo presidente dell’Aigo, l’Associazione italiana Gastroenterologi ed endoscopisti digestivi Ospedalieri. E’ la prima donna a ricoprire questo incarico e guiderà l’associazione per due anni. Buscarini, 53 anni, dal 2000 è dirigente medico in
Gastroenterologia ed Endoscopia Digestiva e responsabile di presidio per le malattie rare presso l’Ospedale Maggiore di Crema.
Ad affiancare la Buscarini nel Consiglio direttivo nazionale di Aigo, che svolge l’attività scientifica e culturale dell’associazione, saranno: Antonio Balzano, presidente eletto, Azienda ospedaliera A. Cardarelli di Napoli, che in virtu’ di questo incarico è destinato a
succedere al nuovo presidente al termine del suo mandato; Sergio Peralta, vicepresidente, Unità operativa complessa di gastroenterologia ed epatologia del Policlinico di Palermo e Giuseppe Milazzo, segretario tesoriere, Unità operativa di gastroenterologia ed endoscopia digestiva dell’Ospedale San Biagio di Marsala.
“Aigo – ha sottolineato Buscarini – sarà sempre più impegnata a migliorare la preparazione scientifica sia del personale medico sia di quello infermieristico e a promuovere la ricerca clinica, coinvolgendo i centri gastroenterologici italiani in studi collaborativi”.
L’Aigo, fondata a Roma nel 1969, riunisce 1.600 associati provenienti da gran parte delle regioni italiane ed è presente in 19 regioni con un Consiglio direttivo regionale per ogni sezione.
