Un team di ricercatori del Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Institute di Stoccarda, Germania, riporta di aver scoperto la presenza di un composto cancerogeno nella maggior parte dei preservativi attualmente in commercio. 29 su 32 tipi di condom testati conterebbero infatti N-Nitrosamine, un composto presente nelle plastiche dalle proprietà cancerogene.
I ricercatori hanno rivelato quantità di N-nitrosamine superiori al limite imposto ai produttori di succhiotti per bambini. “Mantenendo i condom in una soluzione di sudore artificiale, abbiamo osservato grandi quantità di composto fuoruscire”, hanno dichiarato in una nota

“Attualmente, non esistono delle soglie limite per la produzione dei preservativi – ha aggiunto – ed è necessaria una maggior attenzione da parte dei produttori nel controllo sicurezza”. Le autorità tedesche hanno dichiarato che i consumatori non dovrebbero smettere di
